The challenge
- A large site with service pages, industry pages, ad landing pages and 139 articles
- A mega menu that did not work well on phones
- Quote requests and landing pages that have to load fast and keep working
Parts Badger is an online CNC machine shop in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, that quotes custom machined parts for engineers and buyers. We look after its WordPress site every month and keep improving it: menus that work on phones, faster pages, every article set up for Google, and quote requests the whole team can read.

The Capabilities menu opens into one panel with machining, sheet metal, casting, 3D printing, injection molding and manufacturing solutions, 20 services in all. On phones we switched it to the menu's own mobile mode, so every service opens in a slide-out panel instead of trapping the visitor in a submenu.

The homepage leads with one line, Get a quote and Talk to our team side by side, and a strip of partner logos. We converted its images to WebP, preloaded the hero and removed the layout jump the menu caused on phones.

Each service page has one clear heading, a written title and meta description, and company schema behind it, so Google knows exactly what Parts Badger offers.

Engineers find guides on costs, tolerances and materials. We wrote the missing meta descriptions for every article and updated the site's AI guide file so assistants find the right pages.

The contact form routes each message to the right department and takes files up to 50 MB. We gave editors read-only access to the submissions, so sales can follow up without an admin login.
On a phone the header keeps the call number, the menu and a large Get a quote button at the top, and the headlines stay readable at full width.

Parts Badger is on our monthly care plan, together with its sister company Night Owl Manufacturing.
